Lately I've been thinking about getting into something new. Well it isn't actually a new idea, but I guess I finally found motivation to take it seriously. For years I've been trying to break into the children's book illustration industry but lacked both the motivation and time to pursue it. I've finally found both.
I've done a bit of research and emailed a few associates in the industry and now I'm raring to go. The big thing now is finding time to do it. Carving out time from drawing 14 cartoons and a full-time job is going to be difficult, but I'm determined to do it. I think I have a good style for it, but now I have to just work up my portfolio.

I've been thinking about the same recently. This comic strip thing ain't paying the bills. If you don't mind, can you put me on to what you've know so far. Cuz I have no idea where to even start.
That should've said: "...what you know..."
Well, I don't know much Cory. I've been talking to some folks I know in the biz and they keep telling me to just work on my children's illustration portfolio and start sending stuff to artist reps. It's a crap shoot, but so is syndication.
